Travels

Mel was fortunate to have traveled a bit in his life. A little over a year into our relationship we took a trip together to Paris and Amsterdam. It was Mel's first time out of the country and it made him a bit nervous. I thought that he had that international look, very handsome, very well dressed. I, on the other hand, looked very American.

We made a couple of trips to my hometown of Rockport, Massachusettes. I was so happy to have my family meet the man I loved and shared my life with. It means a lot to me that they welcomed him.

Mel escorted his cousin, Big Mike, to Framingham Missouri (near St. Louis) to attend his Aunts funeral service. Mel was always helping his family one way or another. At the time Mel's mom was too sick to travel.

Mel's favorite vacation spot was Disneyland. I'm glad I made two trips with him. The first was during our first year together. I was away on business and sent Mel and my best friend Ralph airline tickets to meet me in LA. Ralph invited a friend. It was a double-date. We visited Disneyland and other LA sites. We had a blast. Mel and I were very much in love.
